Biomimetic adhesive, the foundation of Xingang Biomimetic Adhesive, originates from the contemplation of bionics and the development of biomimetic formaldehyde-free technology. Its inspiration primarily comes from understanding nature, learning from nature, and mimicking natural processes.


Where does this inspiration come from? In one word: nature. Once, while walking along the seashore, a bunch of scallops and other shell-like creatures I wasn't familiar with washed ashore. Some still alive, firmly attached to shells or solid objects through their suction cups. Upon picking them up, I discovered the intricate layers of their shells. As you may recall, when we eat seafood like scallops, their shells are incredibly hard, well-structured, and highly durable.
Inspired by the composition and adhesion properties of these organisms, Academician Li Jian's research team developed the biomimetic formaldehyde-free adhesive through bio-inspired simulation.
Under the guidance of Academician Li Jian, core team members like Professor Xiao Shaoliang persevered in original innovation for over a decade, successfully developing the Xingang biomimetic Adhesive-a novel, environmentally friendly, and low-carbon biomimetic formaldehyde-free adhesive-in the laboratory. This breakthrough filled a global gap by breaking through key technologies.


Starting in 2018, Xingang Global Group collaborated with Academician Li Jian's team from Northeast Forestry University to actively explore the application and commercialization of biomimetic formaldehyde-free products. Currently, Xingang Global Group has achieved exclusive large-scale production of biomimetic formaldehyde-free adhesive, Xingang biomimetic lightweight high-strength particleboard, Xingang biomimetic F-LSB, and Xingang ENF-grade biomimetic ultra-thin fiberboard.
On July 13th, the new product of Xingang ENF-grade biomimetic ultra-thin fiberboard was recognized as internationally leading, with stable manufacturing processes and mechanical performance meeting national standards. Its environmental performance meets the highest national standards.
The biomimetic formaldehyde-free product series not only breaks the traditional bonding mode of "no formaldehyde, no adhesion" but also overcomes the green manufacturing bottlenecks in the entire life cycle of existing engineered wood products. This advancement propels the entire industry into a new era of sustainable development, making significant contributions to the upgrade and application of green engineered wood products.
